What we collect, and what we don't.

The short version: we collect what you put in the request or the contact form, we use it to consider your request and to reply, we never sell it, and anything that informs the benchmark is anonymized first.

What we collect

If you request an invitation, we collect what you enter: your name, work email, company, industry, role, company size, what you're accountable for with AI, where your AI work is, and the problem you're working on, plus anything optional you add (a note, a LinkedIn URL, how you heard about us). When you submit, Cloudflare Turnstile runs a quick check that you're a person and not a bot, and we record a little request metadata (the country the request came from, the page that referred you, your browser's user agent, and the site domain) to block spam and abuse.

If you use the contact form, we collect your name, your email, and your message, so we can read it and reply. The same Turnstile check runs, and we record a little metadata (the country the message came from, the page that referred you, your browser's user agent, and the site domain), the same as for a request.

How we use it

For a request to join: only to consider it and to reach you about it. We don't add you to a list, we don't market to you, and we never sell what you send or attach your name to anything we publish. For a contact message: to read it and reply, nothing more.

What you tell the Association is never attributed to you and never sold. Anonymized and pooled with everyone else's, stripped of who said it, it becomes the benchmark members get back and can inform the Institute's research. More on that on the independence page.

Who else touches your data

We keep the number of companies involved small. We don't sell your information, and we share it only with the service providers listed here.

  • Cloudflare hosts the site, runs the Turnstile anti-spam check, and stores request-to-join submissions.
  • Chatwoot handles contact-form messages, so what you send through that form lives there for us to reply.
  • Discord receives a notification when you submit, so we see it promptly. That notification includes what you entered.

Analytics

We don't run third-party analytics or ad trackers, and we don't set tracking cookies. The only third-party script on the site is Cloudflare Turnstile, on the two forms, and it is there to stop spam, not to follow you. If that ever changes, we'll choose something privacy-respecting and update this page first.

How long we keep it, and your choices

We keep requests while we are considering them and assembling the founding cohort, and we keep contact messages as long as we need them to reply and follow up. If you want to see what we hold, or have it deleted, send a note through the contact form and we'll remove it, including the copies in Chatwoot and the notifications in Discord. There is no account to close and no list to leave.
